Option A:

The Purple Star Program: Building Support and Resiliency for Military-Connected Youth

Presenters: Sarah Jemison and Steve Cambron

Option B:

Partnering with Parents to Begin and Sustain Recovery

Presenters: Kimberly Releford, Melissa Hall, and Dreama Hedric

The Targeted Assessment Program Opioid Use Disorder (TAP OUD) Project provides trauma-informed, strengths-based engagement to partner with parents facing substance use and co-occurring barriers in developing individualized plans for recovery. This workshop presents key program practices that can be applied in other human services settings to improve treatment engagement and retention and strengthen families.

Building Resilience in Early Childhood through Positive Parenting Techniques

This session will provide participants with an overview of techniques to help support children in early childhood build resiliency through positive discipline and parent-child interactions. Several concrete examples will be shared.


Option D:

Understanding and Supporting Gender Fluid Children/Youth and Their Families

Youth who do not conform to gender stereotypes are often not accepted by society and receive messages by peers and adults to conform to the norm. This interactive session will discuss how adults who work with children and adolescents can develop an inclusive environment for youth who are gender fluid.
